Editorial Policy

Last Updated: 28 August 2026

CasinoGam retains complete editorial independence from all operators that we write about and review. Our reviews are our own, and we never receive direct payments from casinos or gambling operators in exchange for positive reviews.

That being said, we must disclose that we do receive commission from affiliate programs on this website. You will be notified of this when reading our content – and our Advertising Disclosure reveals more.

You can learn more about our editorial policy and how we create content by reading the information below.

Our Content Creation Process Explained

The content you read on this site goes through a strict process to make sure it meets the correct editorial standards:

  • Research Phases: This is where we do as much research as possible and consult various sources to help create the content. At CasinoGam, much of our content focuses on reviews for casinos outside of the UK, meaning the research phase largely involves visiting these sites and testing them ourselves. We reveal the full steps in this process on our How We Review Casinos page.
  • First Draft: After the research phases, our writers make a first draft of the content. This is close to the finished product but has not gone through editing or fact-checking yet.
  • Edits & Fact Checks: The fast draft is handed to a member of the editorial team (that’s usually me, the head writer), who goes through the content and fact checks everything. If there are any errors or things that need to be updated, edits will be made. An additional editing process is then used to iron out the content and make sure it’s grammatically correct and fits our mission.
  • Published Content: When a casino review has passed the edits and is fact-checked for accuracy, it can now be published to our site, ready for you to read.

It is important to know that all content on CasinoGam is researched, written, edited and published by humans. We do NOT use AI tools for content creation, and every single casino review is completed by a human being who has tested the site for themselves.

Speaking of which, we’re strict when it comes to who can write for our site. Every author must display clear igaming experience and have no conflict of interest with the operators we review and discuss. If a writer works or has worked for a gambling company that we write about, they will not be allowed to contribute to our site. We’re happy to introduce you to our writing team and tell you more about them on our Meet the Team page.

A Note on Updates & Corrections

We update and refresh our reviews at any given time – it all depends on when new information comes to light about a casino. Many things can happen that mean our content is no longer relevant, which could include:

  • Changes to welcome bonuses
  • Updates to Privacy Policies or Ts&Cs
  • Game library changes/additions
  • Licensing changes
  • Mobile gaming updates

Effectively, we have team members who monitor each casino and see if there’s been a change of any kind on the site. If there has been, this triggers an update where we then go back through the review to correct and update the necessary information. Any updates or corrections will be displayed at the top of our reviews by displaying when the content was last updated.

You are also free to contact our team about corrections/updates if you have any you’d like to propose. You may also ask what was corrected/updated in our reviews and we’ll be happy to tell you.

If you have any complaints or questions relating to our content, please Contact Us at [email protected].

Our Policy on Sources

We mentioned that we consult various sources when writing our casino reviews and content, and this includes a selection of reliable primary sources within the gambling industry. Key things we consult are:

  • UKGC Regulations: While our content revolves around casinos that aren’t licensed by the UKGC, we still use their regulations as a source of information for comparisons and benchmarks in our reviews.
  • Direct Sources From Operators: Casino operators are one of our main sources of information, especially when writing reviews. We consult their Privacy Policies and Terms and Conditions to make sure everything we state is accurate.
  • Offshore Gambling Regulations: Many of the casinos we review are licensed by offshore gambling bodies, which means we must use their regulatory framework as a key source. We’ll often contact offshore gambling regulators or use their websites to find important information that’s relevant to readers.
  • Official Responsible Gambling Organisations: We’ll also use responsible gambling charities and companies as a source for any tips given to readers about player safety.

CasinoGam’s Responsible Gambling Promise

Last of all, the editorial team at CasinoGam promises to treat responsible gambling as a core principle of everything we do. You will find notes on responsible gambling in all of our reviews – including the tools each casino has available to you. We factor this into our casino ratings so you can see which sites have the highest scores for responsible gambling as well.

All of our content is only appropriate for people who are 18 years of age or older, and we explicitly remind you that gambling while self-excluding is not advised. We don’t seek to actively promote gambling on our site; we exist to provide honest casino reviews to people who gamble responsibly.
